These options exist to ensure that you have the opportunity to get your work done, but please make sure that you take in the information here and communicate directly with your reps. If you show up on Flex days expecting it to be an extension of the regular show, there's a significant chance that you will not be able to see some of the things you came for. It's vital to plan ahead for Flex days.
What do the names mean?
- Flex4 means that the exhibitors will be on hand for a total of 4 days, that is the main Monday though Wednesday show PLUS an additional day on Thursday.
- Flex5 means they will be on hand for a total of 5 days: Sunday before the main show, plus Thursday after.
How to make use of the Flex days
Here are the main things to keep in mind:
- If you have core brands that take long appointments, see them on Flex days if you can. This leaves you with free time to see everything else at the main show when everything is on display, including new stuff you have not seen before.
- Remember that the Flex days are just a sub-set of the full rep list. It's very important to check that a given rep will be on hand for a Flex day when you make your plans.
- Flex days are intended to be for appointments. If you come on one or both Flex days, you'll find that the atmosphere is less like a show and more like a setup. There will be many fewer reps on hand, and we won't have amenities like coffee, etc (though you can still purchase coffee and food at the Headwaters cafe on street level).
- Only reps who are signed up for Flex5 can conduct showings on Sunday. No retailers will be permitted into the main show setup area (which includes both Flex4 and main 3-day participants) on Sunday. No rep who is not listed as Flex5 is allowed to bring you into the main exhibit area on Sunday, which is setup day. Flex5 has a dedicated space, and your rep will contact you about how to get in.
